Actually, the fact that it is small is something I like a lot. Coupled with a small light lens, it really looks like a great travel camera.

  • He may not need a model release to take the picture, or even to publish it. But if the photographer is going to use it for commercial purposes, he needs to purchase the rights from the model...

  • I have kayaked from Tahoe Tavern to Sunnyside, and thought that view looked familiar. Nice Pic.

  • Is that picture for Fast Camera taken in front of Sunnyside Resort in Lake Tahoe?

  • Actually the term "Clone" is used in ACDSee under Repair Tool in the Edit Mode. But I think I figured out what the program does. When I save my changes to an image it replaces the original file...

  • I just tried ACDSEE Pro 6. It purports to be non-destructive of the original image. But when I did a Clone on one Jpeg, it made a permanent change to the original image. Is this non-destructive?

  • I would add the Canon G1X to the list. It is not much different in size to the G15, has a good lens, larger sensor than any camera in this group, and takes phenomenal pictures.

    I took the G1X...

  • Goes to show once again, that it is the Photographer, not the camera that makes great pictures. Thanks for an excellent article and beautiful pictures.

  • I thought it would serve the purpose Simon wrote below. But I posted the most innocuous post stating I liked Canon's use of the Rebel name to describe a certain family of cameras, and some guy...

  • Looks Great. Looks like the dpreview folks put a lot of thought into this. Bravo, and thank you.

  • It looks nicely made with a nice fit. But not sure how this provides any more protection than no case at all?

  • Since it is not more pocketable than a Canon G1X; since G1X delivers much better image quality; and since there is only $100 difference in price, I'm not sure what the case is for buying the X10?

  • The one he took of Hardee, looks like a career train wreck for the photographer. Doesn't he know you are supposed to toss out the portraits with weird faces or blinking eyes?

  • When I see a Superzoom with such a long focal lens, I think, "Is this a good Safari camera?" Rather than telephoto examples of a far away snow covered mountain, or ill defined rocks...wouldn't it...
