Give me the Nokia 808 sensor at 5X larger than the S4's anyday... pity about the Symbian though.
-
So I have the Nokia 808PV and its IQ is just superb, but this week I got my hands on a Blackberry Q10 and thought, BB's always had some of the worst camera's but with BB10 Blackberry have...
-
Thanks for the info, but still, for a phone at 1600 the detail etc is amazing...
-
yip, the S4 performs well indeed, pity about the loss of detail in low light but for the sensor size and MP's it does a great job.
-
rating the S4's LED flash better than a Xenon (Nokia 808)... mmm, what a joke, DxO ???
-
+1, since when is an LED flash anywhere near a Xenon?? another DxO farse...
-
Nope in this case its the light in the room that is off to the left, creating a darker shadowy effect on the inside of the basket on the left side. If you look in the foreground you'll see the tone...

Awesome idea, thanks for the tip, will definitely give it a try, cheers

a low light shot (no flash) with my Nokia 808PV at 1600 iso, show me another Cameraphone that can get this clarity at 1600 iso, so please Nokia give us a bigger sensor and Xenon, like we have in...
-
not bad for 1600 iso no flash, low light shot...
I wanted to see what the 808 was capable of at higher iso's, have read that it rivals high end P&S's but this a amazing... so I just put flash off...

Dear mistyfog, if you READ my initial post I was comparing LED to Xenon, so by replying the way he did menneisyss didnt understand my argument by commenting on the low light abilities of the 920...
-
Dear menneisyss think you are a bit confused and the only person in the world who thinks a LED flash is better than a Xenon flash... there is no way that the 920 with its LED can take better photos...
-
But without a Xenon flash you'll always be compromised in low light and night situations... great pic by the way.
-
Hi Lars, if there's no Xenon then they (Nokia) are not serious about low light photography, a faster lens helps a bit but without a decent flash (Xenon) in low light the IQ will always be dodgy!!...
-
If there's no Xenon flash then they are not serious about the imaging prospects of the phone... The N8 and PureView 808 have Xenon and the results speak for themselves, there is no good reason for...
-
an unlimited 4G connection...definitely!
-
Yip, xenon freezes movement and is similar to a flash on a digital camera, LED flashes just provide a bit of extra light but don't freeze motion, as you say, pretty much useless. And no phone...

Wonder why they didn't add in the Nokia 808, which is easily the best cameraphone out there (ok it has a dead OS), it easily matches high end compacts in terms of IQ, but still, would have been...
-
check out DxO Mark they have a camera rating system, the Nokia 808 is easily the best and the rest are pretty even (SIII, iPhone 4/5, HTC One X, One etc.)
