Joed700: Just a couple of suggestions for DPreview. Instead of randomly putting articles that has very little to do with the reviewing of photo equipments, perhaps you can try to do something most Japanese photo magazines do: making direct comparison between lenses. There is a Japanese book store nearly where I live. They have photo magazines from Japan (all written in Japanese), not that I can read them...they actually take lenses of the similar focal length and shot photos of the same subject (outdoors) and let readers compare the differences in performance of each lens. Photozone did something similar, but under studio lighting. Just a thought....
"By Barney Britton (19 hours ago).....Not everything we post is directly related to reviewing hardware (and it never has been)."
Phil Askey might be laughing at that post.
I joined in 2000, but I've been lurking since 1999. If I remember it correctly, this site started by purely reviewing gears and been like that for several years.
ofquiet: I wonder who will step in to fill this void first, Gimp or Google?
Google of course.Acquisition of Nik looking better.
LensBeginner: ADBE stocks going down today as well...Nasdaq is positive.
It's going back to last week's price.Just before the announcement, stock price jumped. I would say investors betting on the new Adobe product pricing scheme. Insider trading. Ha!
If I'm the marketing head of the waterproof housing, I'll jump all over this. This is a great opportunity for some press visibility.
I wonder if it's been swallowed by a whale, and went out undigested.
Staying, but removed all my pics for now.

Ironically, the site won't open in my mobile phone (4s).
Good. Hopefully the D400 will have it early next year.
