That's, right, you can put full frame pixels in a 2MP camera phone, the image will be camera phone quality, maybe even worse. Sensor size is what matter, to put it simply to you: What amount of...

I use Aperture. But more importantly, Chase Jarvis, David Bergman and other succesful photographers use Aperture. From a detail and noise reduction standpoint Aperture cannot compete with...

As much as I like the X100/s concept, I have to agree. I've been studied like crazy samples and stuff for my next upgrade, and I also been blown away by what the D7100 can produce. I would rate it...

Actually that's a marketing decision, not a technical one. Cutting costs is not the reason either with memory chips today. This tell me they still want to sell their D300s stock and release a...

OK I was worried. Man it does look like this will be my D5100 upgrade.
-
I was a little skeptical about this sensor, because I saw serious banding in some samples, from different people. Also in the D5200 RAW files. But what dpreview tested show no banding even when...

If you have this lens, instead of buying a D600 you can buy a D7000 and with the money left you can buy a car :)) That ,,Why not go FF,, is nonsense. it cost a LOT of money, especialy since many of...

Or is dpreview not supporting the by far most used mobile browser: Safari on iOS. Lots of blind haters and this is the proof.

Comprison widget, and gallery slideshow not compatible with iOS. really dpreview, are you in 2013 or 2006 ?

How about the Olympus E-620 from 5 years ago ? Smaller than this, and much smaller when including lenses, IS with every lens, swivel screen, illuminated back buttons, external controls for almost...

I judged it on its concept. A camera as big as a small DSLR, but much slower, without a viewfinder that costs the same or more. It was pointless

I agree, I consider this a step forward for Nikon, latest problems and their silence dosn't do them any good.
-
So at this time there's only one way to shoot fast with Nikon: a D4. I don't need that but I imagine some do.
-
Geez, aren't your lips hurting from that much kissing of Nikon's butt ?
-
You mean world class AF combined with a buffer worse than on most P&S is not ,,crippled,, ? And that in a time memory is cheap as chips.
-
Now THAT'S how you take an action shot. Superb !
-
Pixel size does not really matter. You'll see this sensor would be at most on par with 1/2,3 compact cameras, not even close to G series. That's because what matters more is TOTAL light gathered...

Actually the single thing stopping me from buying a X100s is the X-Trans sensor. I don't need that much complication with 0 benefits and poor support. I wish it had a standard sensor like the X100
Activity older than 12 months is not displayed.
