It's a good thing there were a number of engineers there to watch over each other and make sure none of them said anything useful.

Thank you for these samples ! I've been waiting for more reviews of this lens before deciding whether to get it or another as a standard prime for the A6000. I read about high distortion from a...
When I read this, I thought "I didn't realize Samsung announced a rangefinder style version of the NX1" ... so I looked and saw that it's more "point & shoot" style than RF-style.
I don't know about that ... I have a little bit of Apple stock and would buy more of that before Canon stock.
I'm not knocking people who like colorful cameras; just taking a swipe at Pentax, because half of their press releases are to announce new color choices for cameras. And I'm not on car forums, but...
The real innovation here is that it's destined to be the first full frame digital camera to be offered in 17 different colors.
I agree completely. I use a Nikon 85/1.8 on APS-C. It's also a great lens on FF. But I enjoy it on APS-C as a long portrait/candid lens. I have no interest in an 85 on FF (I also have no...
Oh, I get it. Canon is trying to win the aperture race. 20MP is pretty big. 45X zoom is pretty big. And f/7 beats all the competitors that only hit f/6.9 wide open. Go Canon !
Thom Hogan keeps saying that if Nikon & Canon want to grow their sales again, they need to start solving user problems. Seems Casio is listening !
Take that, mirrorless fans !
There's this assumption implicit in posts like these that the world is going to move to reduced registration distance systems. Nikon & Canon have each sold something like 100,000,000 lenses for...
How ? Sony has a couple variations on the A7, and a few lenses. How does that make a mockery of anything ?
Well, you know, it's hard to keep up with Pentax. They did the colors and the designers and have moved on. They're one step ahead.
Smart, Canon ! Following the Pentax model of success.
That was a better interview than the Nikon one; I don't like a lot of what Sony does, but this executive seemed to have much better market awareness and a strategy to pursue.
It would be better to just say "we can't disclose plans". Instead, "we're studying that"; "it's hard to commit to a strategy" ... sounds like they're floundering. And their top two priorities are...
I'm not sure what doesn't make sense about it. Regardless of what it is or isn't equivalent to, the point is that a lot of APS-C users would like 50-135/140/150mm f/2.8 lenses; mirrorless systems...
The thing is, I think Leica understands its user base far better than most camera companies.
Nope - the e-mount version that's sold as the kit lens for the VG series e-mount camcorders. It's quite decent for a super zoom.
