CameraLabTester: Wondering how the resale value of the 7D will be affected.
An aging camera just got a massive adrenalin shot.
So from now on... brand new 7D buyers should check for version V2.0.0 before purchase.
At another site that has a huge buy and sell, prices are slightly higher. I have been checking.
tell the truth: Such a shame .. canon has lost it . They are five years behind NIKON,,. AND ABOUT 10 years behind the NEW AND GAME CHANGING SONY, you will here about shortly. So fix the software on a 3 year old half frame yesterdays almost ok camera . WHIPPY DO ,, They were the best ,, now they are has beens. SUCH A SHAME !! NOTHING canon is doing competes with the others any more WHAT HAS HAPPENED to Can Not??
Agreed. I don't get people getting upset about this update. The addition snaps in the buffer alone is a great update. It is a 3 year old camera that is still a solid performer and Canon just gave it a bonus upgrade without cracking the thing open and adding upgraded hardware. I still use a 1d Mark II and it rocks. It creates killer images. I will still use my 7d for a long time because it creates killer images as well.
makofoto: Cool ... Joel is my son Max's instructor at Sarah Lawrence College!
Makofoto, your son's work is excellent! Very cool stuff.
D200_4me: Somehow I think the pros who make a descent living from their photography will not find the D4's ISO capabilities a hindrance to their ability to deliver pro results. A lot of people on here just need to go out and start making photos instead of fretting over a camera's specs night and day. I promise you'll be a lot less stressed if you stop worrying about whether or not you have a better camera or lens than everyone else.
It finally clicked when I first saw Weston's work. Pure brilliance. I gave my son Weston as his middle name. Wish I could afford the book!
