Why? Apple's notebook screens employ 6-bit LUTs, hence only properly displaying 252k colors.
It's totally unsuitable for any serious photo or video work, since there will always be drop-offs those...

Just buy a DP3M, when it's sold, and you'll find out first-handedly... although, your strong prejudice doesn't seem to encourage that prospect, unfortunately...

It would be great, if they used a higher processing bit-depth for the RAW-data; even an option for RAW-output would be nice! And: 4K video recording with 1x or 2x zoom. Or TRUE 1080p with 4:4:4...
