Ahhh the magical unboxing experience. They copied that idea from Apple too. Only with Apple you get all you paid for in the box. No battery supplied with the camera - what an incredible cock-up!
With this model Leica are really trying to bethe Apple of camera manufactures. The superminimalist industrial design, snap on cases, premium pricing (well they've always done that haven't they)...
Incorrect, water quickly absorbs red and light. When a couple of meters underwater blue stands out much more.
Me too! Looks like they've taken those retro cues from the DF and incorporated them into a much more compact body that'll actually work as advertised! I really want one of these!
Hurrah! I hope this means the end to all that wooden handled Sony crap!
It's excellent apparently.

A few months ago I saw an F3HP (my dream camera back in the early 80s!) in very good condition at an antiques shop selling for between 40 and 50 quid! I contemplated purchasing it, but didn't in...
That's what I was thinking too.
What possible advantage could this retro-styled new Nikon offer over a D800? I just don't see the point frankly, unless its much more compact in size - like a Sony A7/A7R.
