  • Yeah Sony especially should take note.

Well the D810 does 7 fps in DX crop mode with the grip so it could actually be an upgrade path for people on D300s as well.

Me too. I would also love ot know what the raw buffer is, especially in the 1.5 crop. If it's decent enough this camera could be a reasonable upgrade to people on D300s and they would even get a...

@ET2 Exactly. Heck on most of the affordable cable plans you only get a handful of HD channels. HD hasn't even fully replaced SD yet and people are already talking 4k. It's absurd. At this...

  • I have been thinking PS needed something like this since I first learned about layer masks. I'm glad adobe has finally done it. It looks like it will be very useful.

  • @tkblsc
Plus you also get more frequent updates and bug fixes so I think it's a very fair price IMO.

  • No one said you couldn't and Nikon haven't done anything to try to be your nanny.

  • The point ,that you seem to be intentionally missing, is that you are rolling the dice with a third party battery and you not only KNOW the Nikon battery is not likely going to give you trouble but...

  • Wow this is great for setting up macros.

  • and it is up to the consumer to the extent that it is possible. Again expecting Nikon to test to make sure the new firmware won't break 3rd party battery support is absurd. As is thinking they...

  • And you assume the third party batters have the exact same testing and quality control despite being manufactured by someone other than Nikon and costing less money which is of course highly...

  • But Nikon isn't forcing anyone to do anything and are looking after their customers. It is simple not economically feasible for them to test all the third party batteries with their firmware. ...

  • @Ednaz yeah I never understood that either. Besides it's not realistic to expect Nikon to test every battery under the sun to make sure their new firmware won't make them not work. Besides why...

Not to mention no kitchen sink. I mean what is Nikon thinking!? They're sure to be bankrupt in a week.

Yeah the only people obsessed with cameras size are the m4/3s and mirroless fanboys on this site. For most people once a camera wont fit in a pocket the size basically becomes irrelevant. It's...

  • Well it is small money considering a lens of this optical quality from Canon or Nikon would be in the $1500-$2000 range.

  • The thing is the Nikon lens doesn't have a 24mm equivalent wide end, has a longer minimum focus distance, is heavier, doesn't have "moisture resistance" and is $267.95 more expensive.
