but even Nikon play the game in their press release: "86mm equivalent in 35mm format", yet for some reason they don't state what its equivalent f stop would be.
Looks great. It's very long(!) but that's to be expected - kudos to Sigma for putting this out. They're putting Canon & Nikon to shame with their latest line of lenses for non-FF users.
@ iShootWideOpen The 22mm F/2 won't work on the EF mount. Plus the EOS M is painfully slow in use. Plus 40/2.8 on a crop sensor isn't particularly useful. Yeah...great kit!
The only property I could see was the one that meant they couldn't actually get all the shots perfectly sync'd. I found the slight "judder" somewhat distracting.
Agree with both these followup comments - the 30/1.4 makes much more sense for a crop dSLR. How long ago did Canon introduce the EF-S range? And we still don't have small & fast 30-35mm standard...
I have to agree with lj on this. Surely most folks who buy this type of camera will buy one on spec and price anyway (i.e. "50X zoom"). They'd have never heard of dpreview. And the rest of us...
