  • Surely that is what Apple has been doing for a long time?

  • Nokia is closely identified with mobile phones.

Microsoft on the other hand is closely associated with the blue screen of death.....

    Hmmmmm.

I think Nokia is doomed - unfortunately.

  • Commented on Nikon D3300 Review preview

These entry level DSLR's from Nikon are cracking good value and great cameras. As an experienced photographer I actually prefer the entry level set up with less buttons, knobs and tweaking options....

  • I shall watch this with interest, it could be quite exciting and fascinating to use. The price will be too much for most people though.

    Good luck Lytro!

  • Hmmmmm Damned with faint praise.

  • Mitsubishi Bank...one of Nikons shareholders.... :))

  • So why did they release this sensor in an A7 body instead of an A99 DSLR size body?

    Maybe they will.....

  • A very succinct appraisal of the Sony A7s from Kirk Tuck:

    Sony.

    Big Gun

    Aim

    Fire!

    OUCH! Hole in Sony foot....

Panasonic must be rubbing their hands in...

  • This could be a game changer if it ever happens!

Thoms views are worth a read:

"But let’s look at the elephant in the room: US$1200. That’s a very big elephant."

  • Commented on Nikon 1 V3: a quick summary article

My V1 is excellent for shooting motorsports, air shows and other high speed activity. It is better than my DSLR. I expect the V3 will be even better - it should be at the exorbitant price Nikon...

  • Commented on Nikon 1 V3: a quick summary article

Unfortunately being over priced is a HUGE problem.

Although it is simplicity itself to rectify.

A half-price sale would pitch it where it should be.

  • Commented on Nikon 1 V3: a quick summary article

I'm with you on the sensor. I am very happy with my V1 and find the 1" sensor to be excellent.

But I just cannot comprehend why Nikon first drop the EVF as standard and secondly price the V3...

  • Commented on Nikon 1 V3: a quick summary article

Nikon won't need to sell many at that ridiculous price to make substantial profits!

  • Commented on Am I missing something here? article

As a V1 shooter ( and a D3200 DSLR) I would love to own a V3 and I can see the enormous abilities this camera has.

But once I look at the price ( especially if you include the necessary EVF) I...

    Price! Price! Price!

    Nothing more to say really.....

  • Commented on Nikon 1 V3: a quick summary article

    Price! Price! Price!

    As DPR says:

One concern we have - at least here in the U.S. - is the price. Nikon USA is bundling the camera with the 10-30mm PD-Zoom lens, EVF, and grip, with a price tag...

  • Commented on Nikon 1 V3: a quick summary article

Yet another waaaaaay over priced 1 series from Nikon!

I can't understand why they have gone for a vulnerable external EVF either - madness! I had an external EVF on my Sony Nex camera and it got...
