What would the tech blogosphere be without leaks and rumors? Nokia "EOS" leaks continue, as well as some promising, yet unconfirmed, specifications from Sony, and more news of an HTC One Mini.
A photo tweeted from sneaky leaksters Vizileaks teases “Which one's which?” and shows the alleged Nokia EOS device laid down next to Nokia’s Lumia 920 smartphone.
ViziLeaks seems to have gained full possession of the phone, posting a review of the so-called EOS ahead of its official launch and even sharing a video of the purported PureView device in motion.
Something's definitely coming from Nokia: Media invites were sent this morning that only tell us that the Finnish phone maker is promising "zoom reinvented" will be the theme of the July event in New York.
Over at Sony, a promising set of specs have surfaced with rumors of an Xperia Z Ultra appearing on the Taiwanese site ePrice.
As translated by the folks at Engadget, the new Xperia ZU will have a 6.44-inch, 1,920 x 1,080 IPS LCD display with a pixel density of 342ppi. Inside, it will supposedly pack a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with 2 gigabytes of RAM and 16GB storage built it.
As far as the camera goes, ePrice’s information claims that the back-facing sensor will be an 8-megapixel Exmor RS with a lower resolution, 1.3-megapixel Exmor R facing the front. Sony’s Exmor R and RS sensors are designed to be more light-sensitive than traditional CMOS sensors. (Last year, Sony claimed that the Exmor RS sensor was the world’s first stacked sensor.) Finally, Bloomberg is reporting details of a rumored HTC One Mini with a 4.3-inch lower resolution display, less proccessing power and only a 4-megapixel camera. We assume those will be the same "ultrapixels" as on the HTC One?
