Currently, looking through photos on Google Drive means opening tons of new tabs, as you flip through files. Google is trying to help. Following the lead of competitor Dropbox, Google Drive will now allow users navigate some files in a preview screen. Image files, PDFs, videos and even Microsoft Word documents will now be shown in a preview screen. Google Drive supports the hosting and viewing of .JPEG, .PNG, .GIF, .TIFF, .BMP and RAW image formats. Supported video formats are WebM, .MPEG4, .3GPP, .MOV, .AVI, .MPEGPS, .WMV, .FLV and .ogg. Android users can now update their Google Drive app to allow for video streaming. The browser version of Google Drive will be updated in the next few days. |
