Panasonic is now using near field communication in its newest compact cameras to simplify wi-fi connectivity capabilities. The Lumix DMC-ZS30 (TZ40 in Europe) and Lumix DMC-TS5 (FT5 in Europe) promise simpler wi-fi set up. Using near field communication (NFC), you should be able to tap the camera to your Internet-enabled smartphone, tablet or computer to establish wi-fi communication with your device. Once set up, the camera's wi-fi can also save photos and videos using the Lumix Club Cloud Sync service. Additionally, Panasonic has also announced the wearable, waterproof HX-A100 camcorder. HD video can be captured at 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps. Wi-Fi connectivity allows for live streaming on Ustream and you can use a smartphone or tablet to start and stop recording. |
