iFixit tears downs the Microsoft Surface

The Microsoft Surface got a complete teardown from, which rates the device a 4 out of 10 on its repairability scale, barely surpassing the iPad, but much more difficult to repair than Nexus or Kindle devices.

We already knew the device doesn't offer very impressive camera specs with two nearly identical 720p cameras. iFixit also found four touchscreen controllers inside the Surface, surmising that these allow for both touch screen as well as keyboard accessory control.

The display is manufactured by Samsung, closely related to another Samsung  1280 x 800 resolution screen, though Surface tech specs report a 1366 x 768 ClearType HD display.
