Between Vine and Instagram, smartphone videography is hot right now. But what happens when you want to take and edit videos that are longer than 15 seconds?
Dailymotion wants to help. A new iOS app from the popular video sharing site provides an easy, free way to take and edit videos before sharing them online. With Dailymotion Camera, users can capture the videos in either square or 16/9 format at up to 1080p resolution, using the pause/resume tool to cut your video as you shoot (like Vine/Instagram). Next, you can adjust the look of the video with brightness and contrast controls as well as insert other pre-recorded video.
When you are done, you can share the video on Facebook, Twitter, and of course Dailymotion.
Currently, Dailymotion Camera is only available for iOS, but Android and Windows users shouldn't give up hope. Dailymotion's viewing platform app is available for iOS, Android and Windows Phone 7.
