Nokia teases new Lumia 928

Nokia released this promo for the latest Lumia device. It shows a brightly-lit scene on the phone in an apparently low-light situation.

Nokia is starting to create buzz for its latest Lumia device. An ad for the Lumia 928 was printed (yes, printed) in this month's Vanity Fair magazine. The ad contained vague copy touting the phone's optical image stabilization and Carl Zeiss lens—hardware we have come to expect from the Lumia line camera phones.

The Lumia 928 has been rumored for quite some time. Between "leaked" photos from the camera in March to a recent billboard claiming that the Lumia 928 will have the "best low-light smartphone camera," most of the hype has been around Nokia's camera technology.

Not long after online news outlets picked up the story, Nokia released a web version of the promo. In the printed ad, a large Verizon logo can be seen on the device, leading the blogosphere to conclude that the phone will likely be released first with Verizon Wireless in the U.S.

Nokia is prepping a launch event in London on May 14th. While some rumors speculate that this will be the launch of an aluminum-bodied Lumia 925 device, others are expecting full details of the Lumia 928. No matter what the event may bring, we will be here to update you on the latest announcements coming out of the next Lumia launch.

Looking forward to seeing the IQ on this phone. I'm finding myself more and more in situations where I can't take my p&s camera.

It's middle of a day and that is no "low light situation" ;)

"It shows a brightly-lit scene on the phone in an apparently low-light situation."

You mean back-light situation?
