What if historical figures had Instagram?

20

What would it look like if the Trojans put a hashtag on a certain suspicious horse? What about if honest Abe took a #nofilter #selfie? Well, there's a blog for that. Histagrams (not to be confused with the histogram on your DSLR) is a Tumblr dedicated to Instagramming the most important moments in history and pop culture.

If Instagram was around way back in the day, we're not sure anything of historical importance would have ever gotten done. Who has time to invent the wheel when there are selfies to be taken? Scroll through a few of our favorite Histagrams to get a modern filter on classic events. Check out all of them here.

Editor's note: It looks like Histagrams nabbed the Abraham Lincoln selfie photo from reader Jordan Rubin. Check out the original here.

It's silly and pointless, I'd even give you irreverent on some of them... But filthy sounds a bit much.

The day has come when I agree with a German about humor. The world can end now, as I've seen it all.

Lincoln and Washington spend a whole lot of time in the waistband of exotic dancers.

People haven't realised yet that Connect takes things in a much light-hearted way than it's big older brother DPReview.

Most people who use smartphone, thus Connect's target public, are like this.

I think those are really funny. It contains a certain critique to today's ways of exposing oneself, but in a fun way.

I agree. But it is hard work today, to be light-hearted. The most things are depressing, like...

"What?! There is no firmware update for my cam!!!"

Let us pray for a better world.
