Samsung announces Galaxy Core smartphone

The Samsung Galaxy Core runs Android 4.1 on a 1.2 GHz dual core processor.

Samsung announced the latest in its Galaxy line today: The Galaxy Core is a 4.3-inch smartphone aimed at users who need their mobile device to perform double duty.

The major selling point for the Core is its dual SIM feature. Instead of being locked into one SIM card, Core users can use two SIM cards simultaneously — ideal for professionals who use both work and personal networks. Dual SIM technology can also be found in the Android 2.3-running Galaxy Ace DOUS.

Aside from the dual SIM, the Core's features are otherwise limited compared to its S4 counterpart. It has a 5-megapixel camera with 480p video, 480x800 px display, a 1.2 GHz dual core processor and 1,800 mAh battery

Samsung says the dual SIM Galaxy Core will be available in May with a single SIM version available in July.

is this article a joke? this line of samsung has been on the market for a long time under the Duos line. Samsung also released a Dual sim card Note 2, months ago which appeared to be available to the China market.

Duh!

Thank you for writing the grammatically proper "in its Galaxy line" instead of the egregiously incorrect "their Galaxy line."

I suspect your comment reflects parochialism; your mistreatment of collective nouns seems a bit, well... I'd rather not say...

Don't give up though, keep trying.
