The new Galaxy Tab devices will ship with Android 4.2.

Samsung has announced the latest tablets in its Galaxy Tab 3 line. An 8-inch tablet designed to be small enough to hold in one hand will join the slightly smaller 7-inch Galaxy Tab 3 as Samsung's more portable tablets. Meanwhile, the new 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab 3 is a larger option that Samsung hopes will become the leading 10-inch tablet on the market.

Appealing to mobile photographers, Samsung's new tablets both offer 1280 x 800 resolution screens, the 8-inch with 189 ppi and the 10.1-inch with 149 ppi. The 8-inch tablet has a 5-megapixel rear camera and the 10.1-inch version is packing an only 3MP primary camera.

Why, Samsung, WHY there's still NO tablets with 1920x1080 resolution???? There's no excuse by now.

So, how come everybody else is doing it without costing more than Samsung's offerings?

I just spent a month with a new Samsung Note Tablet with the same resolution that was manufactured over 18 months ago. I ended up returning it because it looked washed out compared to my friend's tablets with 1920x1080 displays. It even looked washed out compared to my HTC One. In mid 2013, there is no excuse for cutting this corner.

Huh, I love how Samsung keeps releasing products that nobody wants.

No one wants? Have you done a survey of market share and market penetration? In many parts of the world they are beating Apple in both sales and customer satisfaction surveys. World wide they are beating Apple with competing models. I have a SIII Galaxy and love it, and did not care for the iPhone. I got the iPad when the Retina display came out and liked it but testing new Samsung pads, it appears to be faster, with excellent features. I first started considering Samsung when of all my printers in my office, theirs was the most reliable and cost effective.

Gotta love the so called worldly people that claim to know what we don't want. That reeks of insecurity. Never understood that strange logic. I love Samsung products.
