Flickr for iOS gets more social

2
Flickr's new system allows users to tag each other using the "@" symbol.

After its massive overhaul in December, Flickr has released its next big update for its iOS app. The latest from Yahoo's photo sharing service allows users to tag each other Twitter-style with the @ symbol. Tagged users will then get notifications from Flickr.

Other new features include faster uploading and high-resolution photo display. The new update will automatically save original, non-filtered images to your Camera Roll. Flickr will also now allow Photostream images to be saved to your iOS device.

The update also includes a controversial feature: volume snap. Apple has previously pulled apps from the App Store for using the volume-up button for anything other than turning up the volume. Meanwhile, Apple's own Camera app include this option.
