0
Nokia's Lumia 920 camera has a 26mm/F2 Carl Zeiss-designed Tessar lens. This photo from Mashable shows the Lumia 920's camera hardware resting on the back of the phone.

When Nokia sent Mashable its Windows 8-running Lumia 920 phone, it included in the package an little bonus—an extra copy of the phone’s 8.7 megapixel PureView camera lens and sensor.

Nokia’s PureView cameras are designed for low-light photography. Its aperture is fixed at F2 to let in plenty of light to its backside-illuminated sensor. It also features image stabilization so you can keep the shutter open for a long time to capture a well-lit scene. This hardware, combined with Microsoft's noise reduction software, makes for clean nighttime shots.

Mashable explores the Lumia 920’s photographic capabilities and posts several shots of the impressive mobile phone camera. Read the full article here.

As for us, we can't wait for our friends at iFixit to get their hands on the Lumia 920 for a full breakdown of the hardware.
